The Google ToolBar
By Dan Thies

Dear Dan,

We recently achieved #4 on Google tool bar, does it help to bring the site up in key word search? Because until now in key word search our web site is not visible. Do you have any idea what we should be doing to improve the ranking. Can you look at our web site and give us suggestions. Thanks.

Webmaster,

Dear Reader,

These sites needs two things very badly: quality incoming links, and content that search engines can find. The only links I found in Google were from a free-for-all links page, and an ad on a local fitness center's website. With almost no incoming links, and even fewer that are truly relevant, it's unlikely that Google will index anything more than the home page. Since nearly all of the text on these sites is buried several links deep, there's not much for a search engine to see, so it's hard to get good rankings when they don't see the text.

The fact that these appear to be identical websites could also be a problem, especially since you have one linking to the other. Google generally doesn't give good rankings to sites with duplicate content.

I wish you success.
